Chapters 10 and 11 of Elfin Descent are done and are being edited as we speak. I'm currently working on Chapter 12 and will hopefully finish it early next week. If I do, then I may be able to publish the next chapter early. I'll let you know how it's going.
I'd like to thank everyone who responded with comments on the blog and through literotica. I really do appreciate hearing from people, and it does influence what and how I write. As I mentioned in one of the replies, the next Queen's Castle story will be set during the Second Hesten War, and will definitely feature Jeanette/Horse, Jeanette/Agmar, and Jeanette/Hounds. I may also work some Jeanette/Grotok in there if it makes sense.
I am going to start work on that story after I am done with Chapter 12, and it should take about a week to complete. Like the other Queen's Castle stories, it is going to be posted exclusively on this blog.

ReplyDeleteIt might actually be hard to do Humiliation by itself though, so if you combine a certain kink with Humiliation, that should be enough to express it in my opinion.
For example, humiliation would work well with Domination/Submission, Rape, Beastiality or Watersports and et cetera.
Personally, I fall within the bounds of Humiliation/Watersports myself... since I haven't really seen it all that often and it is kinda my biggest thing.

ReplyDeleteMy biggest gripe with Elfin descent would be Sylvia's sub plot, now I know that series are about elven princess succumbing to orcish, "virility", but as of chapter 7, I though we are going on the clear route of Sylvia and Lyriena getting Trogar, who is, to be fair, not the brightest tool in the shed, under their thumb. Also, I though that Sylvia's objective of getting pregnant would be achieved, because I thought your writing, tone and remarks in sex scenes was leading to it, which would make interesting situation, it would result in something of a harem politics, Sylvia and Lyriena would become opponents, I imagine, once Lyriena get turned over to her lustful side, and jealousy kicks in (This reminds me of TV show, Magnificent century, about Suleiman the Magnificent, and Ottoman harem politics). On that note, this is why I would also like to see more of Agmar, sine bastards make interesting character in court politics. Also, pregnant Sylvia could be very good plot reason to actually spare her live, I know that sub plot could end up with her getting humiliated, but that, to be honest, would remove much of the meaning of her sub plot, especially, as I fell she is even more interesting character then Lyriena even, and could easily rival Jeannette, who was, is? :D, whore too.
To sum it up, I think that Sylvia's character could get a bit more flesh out and meaningful plot.
Thanks for the feedback. My initial plan was for Sylvia to be a Game of Thrones style twist. It was also supposed to be part of a turning point for Trogar where he takes things more seriously.
DeleteI then began to realize that Sylvia was becoming very popular and Trogar not very popular, which makes the twist not ideal.
The plot does have certain demands, though. I ended up leaving her fate inconclusive to give me some room to operate.
I just now actually thought of a new twist that will solve some of the problems I was writing about in this blog update. So I may still be able to pull out an ending that everyone will find satisying.
Also, not sure if it's to late to add this, while I still prefer somewhat happier ending for Sylvia. but if overall plot does not permit it, and you intend to punish Sylvia either way, you could always go the chapter 1 route, Sylvia being Trogar's puppy breeder slut, that would shot down options for Sylvia to regain status, but I'm sure she could enjoy being a whore ;) just personal one, for Trogar.

ReplyDeleteAs I've encountered, there are two schools of thought regarding it; you either love it, or you hate it. There's no middle-ground that renders it under any sub-genres, Lyriena will weep every night as her royalty is pulled from beneath her and there'd be no reluctance about her growing lust for her captor, that's rape.
This seems to put a divide on where you're going with the story. Lyriena seems more and more a willing subject to the City of Sin—or in the very least, orcs. In the same way, your stories have always had a sense of reluctance and seduction when it came to unsavory ends for your heroines, are you planning to go the full nine yards and turn the slow seduction into a series of rape vignettes?
I'm evidently speaking for a minority when I say I'd much rather have Lyriena fall for her own weaknesses, be trapped by Trogar and the City of Sin, and ultimately suffer enslavement as a consequence of her naivety.
Although if you're adamant about changing courses and pursuing rape, I'd suggest going balls to the wall and writing the biggest scenes with it as a base. I'd continue to read Elfin Descent if I knew where to expect it instead of having it spread through all of your writing.
I don't intend on changing course with Elfin Descent. A few course correctionsaybe, but Lyriena is still going to "enjoy" her fall.
DeletePersonally, I don't really like "hard" rape where the victim doesn't enjoy it at all.
In response to the poll, I may include that in some short stories, or in future stories in the series.
The next story in the series is going to star Agmar, and will be very rape focused. There will also be some scenes with it im Triumph, but it probably won't be the main thing.
interesting to see the poll turn out as it is. to offer another perspective: i did vote for rape but i generally agree if it's too brutal it's less fun. i'd never expect an author to course correct for my tastes. it's my kink but it's not everyone's (although clearly i'm not alone). i lean toward more conquering/enslavement kinks (impregnation is in there too), and militant orc hordes can be good for that XD. so I voted. but i think whatever the author finds the most fun in, to a degree at least, will reflect on the reader.
