I finished Ch 16, and am well on my way through Ch 17. Almost done! I'm really enjoying writing the epilogue, and I think the rest of it will be fun as well.
That being said, I posted a new poll on the right, asking what you would make you consider buying a second edition of Orc Dominion: Zentara (to be known as Orc Dominion: Coronation).
I'm already going to change the ending, making it a little softer to better fit the rest of the story and the stories that came after. I would like to see what my readers want in turns of focusing on additional sex scenes, adding some sub plots, refining characterization, or adding more world building material. Please let me know! And if you have any specific ideas for scenes you want to see, feel free to add them in the comments. Thanks!

I also liked Cindy's character. To me, it felt like too many people became supportive of the Orc's, or at least acceptive of them. Whereas Cindy initially has a good reason to hate the orcs, but she just went way-to-far with it.

I would like to read as much Jeanette sex scenes as possible, but for a good story you need also a good plot and interesting characters. Therefore I would prefer to buy an editon of The Solid Dove Stories and the Queen´s castle stories. In my opinion the first two Orc Dominion stories are great and do not need an edit. Ok, the last chapter of the first story could be improved, but I don´t think that is a main priority. The third story is good, but I do not like the main protagonists and the plot is not as interesting as the plot of the second series.

By common practice on Amazon, one story should cost $2.99, but I never found that to be a good deal.
I would think two stories for $2.99 wpuld be better, or maybe 6 stories for $5.99.
I'll also vote for the Soiled Dove and Queen's Castle stories. The Soiled Dove could include more sex stories with nobles from Braden or Heste whom she pumps for information. Also throw in some servants or soldiers from the castle visiting the Dove who would not know her up close. Some other stories I would like to see are Jeanette rewarding her Captain of the Guard Vrenchak from Orc Dominion Rebellion as well as Trodott the Chancellor.

I don't know that it will ever change to take place primarily in the isles though, but you never know. There is a lot I don't like about how the story worked out and I am not entirely sure how to fix it yet.
i dunno but i think the logical development from this wd be that zentara basically wins trade and threatens to be the richest as well as the nation with the best army. now the elves love the trade and the have a love-hate relationship with zentara as expected. but they play tricky as they keep giving zentara favourable terms in trade and keep the zentaran cash flowing in their own country but the elvish nation is losing its nationalistic feeling and there is cutthroat competition and individualism among the traders that Trogar loves dealing with and exploits. but the elves keep weakening their army as more and more pick up trade work and they dont care if hestan pirates keep sabotaging trade ships.... so now Trogar has to use lyrienna to stop this otherwise the orcs are going to keep getting pulled all over the map by guerrila tactics and keep taking hits.... and lyrienna is the only person who can win the population... so now its about various marketing schemes... Trogar and Lyrienna work together to defeat the elfin nobility and this involves a load of debauchery.....
DeleteMy personal thought was that the relationship between Trogar, Belkor and Grotok, which while now strained, could potentially fall apart as their future descendants are likely to fight and squabble over who runs the subsequent kingdoms. Don't forget that Jeanette still has a few more sons after Trogar who have barely even been mentioned and that those are some potential problems later on down the line (Should they not find themselves a place to rule). Oh, and don't forget Agmar either, who is probably going to incite things down the line.
DeleteIn my opinion, unless the supposed 'continent' that the Mincetti and Centaurs and Minotaurs come from is discovered, it is likely that overtime, relationships will erode and some form of war, or possibly even a civil war of some sort is possible. After all, if people don't have new places to conquer, they tend to set their eyes on nearby places, and that always leads to problems.
Or maybe not, I'm not OrcDominion here, I don't write the story!

ReplyDeleteI kind of like the idea of having the marriage happen earlier and then moving on to the ramifications in the Elfin Isles. It would be a lot of re-writing though. My initial thoughts would be to have Lyriena recruit Sylvia as a spy to give her an upper hand, maybe while Trogar seduces Elenorei or Soleil and Florette seduce Lorien and Elemere.
Where I am lost is how to make the Henry subplot more relevant throughout the story. Maybe I could have him make contact much sooner and have her pass him information that is used in actual attacks in the story, on ships, caravans etc.

Well of course, that was in mind. Rivalries are not going to just suddenly occur out of the blue, they are made overtime, for various and complex reasons, largely due to politics and just generally people being shitty people to other people, but also through other events as well.
As it is, I cannot wait to see Agmar's Chevauchee attacks on the Catabrians in your next short story series (Well, I'm not sure if Agmar plan's to conquer the Catabrians, so I say Chevauchee, instead of war in this instance).
If you like, I would be glad to help volunteer my time and effort into word checking, and possibly just giving some general insight into arms and armour for your Agmar story, if you would like that.

ReplyDeleteso maybe henry just gets spies sponsored by all 3 nations now... henry doesnt have to get an operation running and then convert the rest of the states into active participants in his scheme, cuz now the rest of the states are all united cuz they have to be... and u can simplify the plot by giving henry geographical advantage. uve established his supremacy on water... so just write a situation where he has a run in with a zentaran ship that he can intercept communication from and then he gets poor traders for his spies cuz obviously Trogar and Lyrienna have to be very selective about who they hand the tariffs to. so the rest of the traders get jealous and knowing orcs' reputation, they dont waste time in forming a secret chain of information traders for hennry and the rest...
so thats what lyrienna has to crack to serve her husband and nation.. the mystery as to who is/are the spies, what scale the operation is on... cuz they are all hiding in plain sight, nobody is afraid to die and nobody probably knows their comrade... so even if u catch 1, u dont know how any are left...

DeleteTriumph, the last story, is going to be a bit of a mix. There is going to be a slutty, scheming princess, a captured, abused princess, a warrior princess who gets corrupted, a magic using prince, and a spy/revolutionary.
